1. You must have six total, which means you will need to supply at least one if you are using all five that I provided. 2. I must physically see the sources - either in print or on your screen. 3. Make sure they are high quality sources - major newspapers or magazines, journals specific to a field. Use the databases (Gale or Ebsco) that you have access to through the school's library. 4. Begin creating your works cited page so I can check it for accuracy.

Beginning the week of February 3, I will make articles available to you in the following categories:
Business International Politics/News Domestic Politics/News Science (non-medical) Health/medical
You must select one category for your Thoughtful Citizen Project. A total of five articles will be available in each category. For each article, you will write a summary (see due dates below). Then, you will synthesize your summaries (with some additional research) into a research paper due on April 29.

1. Make sure the MLA style header is correct - look at the sample 2. Make sure page numbers are correct 3. Change font to 12 point Times New Roman 4. Author's full name and the article's title must be in the first paragraph - the title should be in quotation marks. 5. Proofread - It is wise to have someone else read your summary before you submit. 6. If steps 1-4 are not followed, I will not grade your summary. 7. Remember the citation 8. Submit to turnitin.com
