Monday, March 23 - Read the excerpt from Book 9 of The Iliad and complete the questions. Remember that Achilles has been angry about the loss of his prize and has been refusing to fight. While he's been out of the fight, the Greeks have suffered losses. Greek leaders will come to him at the beginning of what you read to offer Achilles gifts if he will re-join the fight.

MAKE-UP WORK Policy from the Student Handbook The student is responsible for making arrangements with his/her teachers for makeup work due to absence from school. PSAT Review - Follow the steps to access PSAT material.
Click on the link below and follow the steps: 1. Code: 1628135463 2. User Name: your last name and first initial 3. Password is password (all lower case) 4. Click on the StudyGuide for PSAT 5. You can input your scores (from the paper copy I gave you ) under the Step 3 - Score and Analyze tab. You used test form 002 (green box). Enter your answers and it will score your test AND identify your areas of weakness. 6. Under the Step 4 - Review your Skills tab, you'll be able to see your Critical Skills (areas of weakness). **If you don't want to input your scores, you can just jump to Step 4 and use the tutorials there in Math, Reading, and Writing.

We will be using the Sadlier-Oxford Vocabulary Book: Level E. Vocabulary will begin shortly. 3. Along with vocabulary, we will be reviewing concepts in grammar. 4. Our literature will be taken from the textbook (on-line) and supplemental texts and will include short stories, poetry, novels, non-fiction, drama, and an epic. We get a little of everything. 5. Learning to be a better writer will be a key component of this class. 6. Presentations (both formal and informal) will also be included in our curriculum.
